Job Overview

Join our art team to polish the look of Grimoire of Monsters, our co-op monster-survival roguelike built in Unity. Create and refine the 2D art that brings the game's dark, atmospheric world to life as we push toward our Steam demo.

Key responsibilities

  • Create and polish 2D game art: characters, monsters, environments, props, and UI in our stylized dark-fantasy style
  • Clean up and level up existing assets to raise the overall visual quality of the game
  • Prepare art for animation and in-engine use, keeping files organized and consistent
  • Work closely with our Art Lead and design team to match the game's look and tone
  • Hold a consistent style across a large monster and character roster

Who we are looking for

  • A current student looking for a co-op or internship term
  • Strong 2D art skills shown in a portfolio (characters, creatures, or environments)
  • A good sense of shape, colour, and readability for fast-paced gameplay
  • Comfortable working in a remote, team-oriented environment

Bonus skills

  • Experience preparing art for 2D animation (clean layers, rig-ready assets)
  • Familiarity with dark fantasy art style
  • Experience making game-ready assets in Unity
  • Interest in roguelikes, bullet-heaven, or survivor-style games

Please Note: we will prioritise students who meet eligibility criteria for the WIL Digital ICTC program for this internship.

To show us your talent, please include a link to your portfolio. Applications without one cannot be processed.

Best of luck, and we send our warmest wishes to all applicants!

Pay: $18.50-$20.00 per hour
