Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Junior Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will support various accounting functions, including bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and financial analysis, PBS experience . This entry-level role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in corporate finance and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic financial services environment. The Junior Accountant will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records, assisting with audits, and supporting budgeting processes to ensure the integrity of our financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes to ensure timely and accurate transactions.
  • Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliation and account analysis, to verify data accuracy.
  • Support bookkeeping activities using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, PeopleSoft, and others.
  • Help prepare financial reports and assist with auditing procedures to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Support payroll processing and related activities to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
  • Contribute to budgeting efforts by analyzing financial data and preparing relevant documentation.
  • Maintain organized records of financial transactions and documentation for audit purposes.
  • Collaborate with team members on special projects related to financial services and corporate finance initiatives.

Requirements

  • Proven experience or familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or PeopleSoft.
  • Basic understanding of bookkeeping, account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis.
  • Knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and auditing processes.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment and communicate clearly.
  • Prior experience or coursework in accounting or finance is preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Excel or other spreadsheet applications for data analysis.
