Full job description

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a hands-on, people-first role that sits right at the heart of what we do at StabilityLAB. You’ll be running our Bertec balance and vision technology, working directly with patients through their assessments and rehab programs, and connecting with prospective patients by phone in the evenings. No two days look exactly the same, and it’s a great fit for someone who loves both the clinical side of things and genuinely enjoys talking with people.

HOURS & HOW IT WORKS

This is a full-time role with two types of shifts that together make up your week:

▪ In-clinic shifts at our West Broadway location. We are open Monday to Friday between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM, plus some Saturdays 9AM-4PM. For your shift, you’ll be doing assessments, running treatment sessions, and keeping everything running smoothly.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING: IN CLINIC

Running the Bertec Systems You’ll set up, calibrate, and operate our Bertec CDP and Vision Advantage equipment for each patient session.

Assessments & Testing Conducting vestibular and balance assessments including SOT, COG testing, and protocols for concussion and vertigo patients.

Working with All Kinds of Patients Our patients range from kids to seniors to athletes in return-to-play programs, so you’ll adapt your approach to fit each person.

Reports & Data Pulling together Bertec results into clear progress reports that patients and clinicians can actually use.

Running Treatment Sessions Carrying out balance training and habituation exercises as set out by our lead clinician.

Keeping Records Documenting everything accurately in our clinic management system.

Equipment Upkeep Making sure gear is clean, organized, and ready to go between sessions.

WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

You’ll be a good fit if you have:

▪ A background in Kinesiology, health sciences, or something related. Solid hands-on experience in a clinical or rehab setting works too.

▪ A genuine interest in vestibular health and balance rehab (this stuff is fascinating once you get into it)

▪ Customer service experience. You’re comfortable with people, good at building rapport, and can communicate clearly.

▪ Comfort picking up new technology and software. We’ll train you on everything, but you shouldn’t be intimidated by it.

▪ Great attention to detail, especially when it comes to documentation

▪ The ability to work independently in the evenings without someone looking over your shoulder

Bonus points if you have:

▪ Any experience with vestibular rehab, balance assessment, or Bertec systems specifically

▪ A background in patient intake, care coordination, or health-related sales

▪ Worked with electronic medical records before

WHY STABILITYLAB

We’re a small, focused team doing specialized work that genuinely changes people’s lives. Vestibular issues can be really debilitating (dizziness, vertigo, balance problems) and a lot of people have been struggling without answers for a long time before they find us. Being part of that, running the tech, connecting with patients, seeing them improve, is pretty rewarding. You’ll be working with industry-leading equipment, alongside people who care about doing this well.

Pay: From $23.00 per hour

Benefits:

  • Extended health care
  • On-site parking

Experience:

  • Medical office: 2 years (required)
  • Customer service: 2 years (required)
  • Healthcare: 2 years (preferred)

Work Location: In person
