Job Summary

RDM Enterprises Ltd., Langley, BC

RDM Enterprises Ltd. is a family owned and operated Canadian company with 45 years in construction, offering a wide range of services to the construction industry.

Looking for experienced Foremen, Excavator Operators, Labourers, Pipe Layers.

Responsibilities and Duties

All applicants are expected to:

Work in a safe manner at all times on the work sites.

Be accountable for their actions.

Work with the site supervisors and other employees with respect and on a team basis.

Show up to work as required and on time.

Work the hours required based on project requirements.

Provide own transportation to all work sites.

Read and interpret plans or diagrams and perform required work.

Accurately complete all work reports and maintenance logs.

Regularly perform inspections of equipment and tools.

Follow equipment maintenance schedules and advise if repair is required;

Perform other related tasks as required.

Have an excellent attitude and be supportive to co-workers.

Have a strong work ethic.

Have good communication skills.

Be physically fit.

Want to build a career in Civil Construction / Underground Utility Construction.

Take initiative in regards to protecting the environment on all project sites.

Qualifications and Skills

Experience Required: Foreman minimum 5 years, Excavator Operators minimum 5 years, Grade Personal minimum 2 years.

Provide References.

Provide a Drivers Abstract.

The ability to pass a drug/alcohol screening test.

Provide a copy of acquired tickets, certificates: H2S, WHMIS, TDG, First Aid, etc.

Experience with civil construction, pipe works (sanitary, storm, water install) surface works (placement of excavated materials, gravels, topsoil)

Ability to operate heavy equipment in a safe and responsible manner. Excavator Operators receive a seat test to assess skill level and to confirm competence.

English proficiency.

Possess an understanding of the issues regarding public safety.

Ability to work in varying weather conditions.

Ability to work independently and with little supervision.

Must be able to communicate well with co-workers.

Ability to work under pressure.

Benefits

Rate of pay is in line with the industry for all applicants, based on skill level.
