Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic ECE/ECEIT (Float Teacher) to join our team full-time. This versatile educator will support various classrooms, ensuring a nurturing environment that promotes early childhood development. The ideal candidate will be bilingual, with experience working with children and individuals with disabilities, and possess strong communication and organizational skills. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a positive impact across multiple age groups and classroom settings.

Duties

  • Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development
  • Support classroom teachers by providing coverage across different classrooms as needed (float role)
  • Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for children of diverse backgrounds and abilities
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members to ensure a collaborative approach to early education
  • Maintain accurate documentation of children's progress and classroom activities using computer systems
  • Support special education needs by adapting activities and providing additional assistance to children with disabilities
  • Manage classroom routines efficiently, including transitions, meal times, and rest periods, demonstrating excellent time management skills

Experience

  • Previous experience working with children in early childhood education settings or childcare centers
  • Experience working with individuals with disabilities or in special education environments is highly preferred
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is a strong asset for effective communication with diverse families
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in classroom management and team collaboration
  • Strong organizational skills to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for clear documentation and parent interactions
  • Proficiency in computer operation, including classroom management software and basic office applications
