Overview

Reporting to Lead, Student Admissions Advisor, and Director, Student Admissions. The Student Admissions Advisor (SAA) at Robertson College plays a crucial role as the first point of contact for prospective students, shaping their initial impression of the institution.

SAAs are expected to demonstrate professionalism through prompt, knowledgeable, and respectful interactions with potential students. They are responsible for outbound calling efforts to individuals interested in the college, aiming to establish a connection with each lead.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Admissions
  • Recruit qualified candidates for the college's academic programs in a compliant and professional manner.
  • Contact prospective students promptly after they express interest in the college and provide guidance on enrollment and admissions processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, governmental regulations, and program requirements for all students.
  • Ensure all students meet program requirements before starting them in a program. This includes verification of their required English proficiency on their chosen program.
  • Administer correct college approved entrance assessments to students who are admitted under mature students status.

Student Support and Follow-up
  • Support students before, during, and after the admission process.
  • Conduct regular check-ins (every 10 days) with the students between recruitment and start date, and the first 45 days after their start date.
  • Guide students to relevant resources within the college when needed.
  • Reach out to students within specific timeframes post-start date to ensure a smooth transition.

Administrative
  • Enter student information accurately into all necessary systems.
  • Ensure students' records are up to date for reporting purposes.
  • Facilitate handovers to other departments (NLG & LEG) and provide necessary support during various processes.
  • Assist with audits of student files and ensure all required documentation is in place.

Product Knowledge
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest features of the LMS that may be used to influence SAAs way of student recruitment.
Marketing
  • Participated in campaign strategies proposed by the management
  • Assist with virtual and in-person marketing and branding efforts as needed.
  • Collaborate with branding partners in marketing meetings when required.
  • Performs other duties/participates in special projects as assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • A degree or diploma in business administration or a related field is an asset.
  • Minimum of 2+ years' experience working in sales, relationship building, or a related field.
  • Experience in customer service, admissions recruiting, education, or outbound contract center roles.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with diverse individuals.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong telephone skills with prior experience in handling high-volume calls considered an asset.
  • Friendly, energetic, and positive attitude towards engaging with prospective students and team members.
  • Familiarity with internet-based communication tools and platforms to support virtual interactions.

Compensation : Base salary, plus commission **A successful We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Student Admission Advisor can make up to $90k/year at target, with opportunity to earn more!
Location: Hybrid - Edmonton Campus
Schedule: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm (Monday-Friday)
