ABLE Engineering Services Inc. "ABLE" is a versatile, experienced, multi-disciplinary engineering firm that works on a wide range of projects. We excel in civil and structural engineering, surveying and the design of infrastructure systems for commercial, residential, governmental and industrial projects.

We are seeking a CAD Designer to join our team from either our South Shore (Chester), Metro (Upper Tantallon) or Valley (New Minas) location. The successful candidate will support our engineering team by preparing technical drawings and design layouts for residential structural projects and on-site sewage disposal systems.

Responsibilities

  • Develop detailed CAD drawings based on engineering specifications and project requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineers and project managers to ensure accuracy and feasibility of designs.
  • Modify and update drawings as needed throughout project phases.
  • Maintain organized digital files of all CAD work for easy access and revision.
  • Assist in preparing documentation for project submissions.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a CAD Designer or similar role within an engineering environment.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or other relevant CAD software.
  • Strong understanding of civil and structural engineering principles, preferably the treatment of on-site sewage.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
  • Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations.
  • Diploma or certificate in Engineering Technology, Drafting, or a related field
