Full job description

Purpose and Scope

The Production Engineer Supervisor oversees daily production operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with safety standards. This role involves supervising production teams, optimizing processes, troubleshooting technical issues, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to meet production targets.

Organization Relationship

The Production Engineer Supervisor will report directly to the Production Manager.

Responsibilities

The Production Engineer Supervisor has the following specific areas of responsibility and accountability:

Supervision & Leadership:

  • Lead and manage a team of production workers.
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide training and mentorship.

Production Planning & Control:

  • Coordinate production schedules to meet deadlines and customer requirements.
  • Ensure optimal utilization of resources, equipment, and manpower.

Process Optimization:

  • Analyze workflows and implement improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
  • Apply lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies where applicable.

Quality Assurance:

  • Maintain compliance with quality standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues, ensuring minimal downtime.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Enforce health, safety, and environmental regulations in the workplace.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions.

Reporting & Documentation:

  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.
  • Document process changes and maintain accurate records.

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Production Engineering (or related field) or College Diploma in Process Engineering.

Experience: 5+ years in production engineering, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

Technical Skills:

· Knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment, and automation systems.

· Proficiency in CAD software and ERP systems.

Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication abilities.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
