Airtight Consulting Ltd. is a team of Certified Energy Advisors based in Chilliwack, BC. We specialize in Part 9 new home construction, step code compliance, and blower door testing. Our mission is to provide expert guidance and reliable testing services to ensure energy-efficient and high-performance building standards. With a focus on excellence and customer satisfaction, we help builders and homeowners meet and exceed energy efficiency targets.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Chilliwack, BC, for an Energy Advisor Technician. We will provide training as required. The role involves conducting energy assessments, performing blower door tests, assisting with step code compliance, and providing energy efficiency recommendations. The Energy Advisor Technician will be responsible for preparing accurate reports, performing on site testing, and offering technical support to clients. Wage will be based on skillset and required training.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Energy Industry-related knowledge, including energy assessments, energy efficiency practices, and understanding step code compliance
  • Ability to read, interpret, and understand construction drawings is a must
  • Proficiency in Excel, AutoCAD, and Outlook is an asset.
  • Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to effectively interact with clients and explain energy efficiency recommendations
  • Experience in conducting blower door testing and analyzing results
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to prepare accurate reports
  • Solid understanding of building science fundamentals, including air barrier systems
  • Prior experience as an Energy Advisor or related role is an asset

Pay: From $28.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
