Full job description

La Vie Medical requires a Registered Practical Nurse to coordinate and monitor the assessments, treatment planning processes and follow-up for each patient. Be part of a patient Care team and provide continuity in patient care. This position requires skill in the planning and organization of nursing care; application of advanced nursing clinical skills, maintenance of records and charts, preparation of written reports, teaching of other nursing-related skills, and the maintenance of effective working relationships with others. The Registered Practical Nurse will be responsible for establishing and maintaining open, effective communication between facility, consumers, physicians, and third party payers.

This individual must be able to communicate effectively with the treatment team, as well as influence the treatment approach when needed.

Nursing Duties Include but not limited to: (experience would be an asset but will provide training)

- Phlebotomy

- ECG and Stress Test

- Detailed history taking

- Infection Control

- Processing and labeling laboratory specimens

- Nursing assessment, immunizations, flu clinics and injections

- Case management

- Strong Organizational Skills

- Strong computer skills are imperative

- Experience with an EMR preferred

- Strong Interpersonal Skills required
