ETHOS Career Management Group is currently recruiting Career Development Professionals with job placement experience for Subcontract work in Nanaimo and Duncan. As a member of the WSBC Provider network, the ETHOS Job Search Support Subcontractor will be providing individualized services for resume and cover letter development, job search skills, and individualized job placement support.

Vocational Rehabilitation Professional / Employment Specialist

Job Type: Independent Contractor (Subcontractor) - On Call

Compensation: $45 to $50 per hour (Employment Services)

Compensation: $80 to $85 per hour (CVRS Services, where qualified)

Location: Nanaimo and Surrounding Areas

Independent Contractor Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Vocational Rehabilitation Professional / Employment Specialist to provide services on a subcontractor basis. This is not an employee position. Successful applicants will operate as independent contractors and must maintain the required business registration, insurance coverage, and documentation outlined below.

The successful contractor will provide employment and vocational rehabilitation services, including resume and cover letter preparation, job search skills training, individualized job placement services, and customized rehabilitation planning where applicable.

Preference will be given to individuals qualified to provide both Employment Services and Comprehensive Vocational Rehabilitation Services (CVRS).

Required Qualifications

Applicants must:

· Hold a post-secondary degree in a related discipline.

· Have a minimum of two (2) years of directly related experience within the past five (5) years providing:

o Resume and cover letter preparation;

o Job search skills training;

o Individualized job placement services; and/or

o Customized rehabilitation planning relevant to the services being delivered.

Applicants must also either:

· Hold one of the following professional designations:

o Registered Rehabilitation Professional (RRP)

o Registered Vocational Professional (RVP)

o Certified Vocational Professional (CVP)

o Master Certificate: Vocational Professional (MCVP)

o Canadian Certified Rehabilitation Counsellor (CRC/CCRC)

OR

· Work under the direct supervision of an individual who holds one of the above designations.

Independent Contractor Requirements

Successful applicants must provide:

· Valid Driver's Licence

· Criminal Record Check

· Business Liability Insurance and/or Errors & Omissions Insurance with a minimum of $1,000,000 coverage

· Business Licence and/or

o CRA documentation showing a valid Business Number

o Statement of Business Registration or Certificate of Incorporation

Key Responsibilities

· Provide individualized employment support services

· Assist clients with resume and cover letter preparation

· Deliver job search skills training and coaching

· Facilitate individualized job placement services

· Develop and implement customized rehabilitation plans, where applicable

· Deliver vocational rehabilitation services and assessments, where qualified

· Maintain accurate documentation and reporting

· Liaise with employers, referral sources, and community partners
