LN Land Development Technologies is hiring a Survey Assistant in Edmonton to work alongside experienced Surveyors on active construction, civil, and land development projects.

If you have some field or construction experience, like working outdoors, and want to learn a skilled trade using GPS/GNSS, total stations, and modern survey technology , this could be your next move.

You don't need to know everything on day one. We're looking for someone who is reliable, hardworking, comfortable in the field, and ready to learn.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

You'll be in the field supporting experienced Surveyors and learning how survey work comes together on real construction projects.

Your day could include:

  • Assisting with construction layout, staking, topo and as-built surveys

  • Setting up and operating GPS/GNSS and total stations

  • Collecting field measurements and survey data

  • Setting stakes, hubs, markers and survey points

  • Working around active construction and heavy equipment

  • Maintaining survey equipment and field records

  • Working closely with Surveyors, construction crews and project teams

  • Learning new equipment, technology and survey methods as your experience grows


YOU COULD BE A GREAT FIT IF YOU

  • Have previous survey, construction, civil, earthworks or field experience

  • Enjoy working outdoors and being part of a field crew

  • Are comfortable with technology and interested in learning survey equipment

  • Show up, work hard and take pride in doing things properly

  • Have strong attention to detail

  • Are comfortable working around active construction sites

  • Have a valid Class 5 Driver's Licence and clean driver's abstract

  • Have reliable transportation

  • Can work overtime or extended hours when projects require it

  • Can complete required pre-employment drug and alcohol testing

  • Are legally eligible to work in Canada on a permanent basis

EVEN BETTER IF YOU HAVE

  • Survey Assistant or Rodperson experience

  • Experience with Trimble GPS/GNSS or total stations

  • Construction, civil, earthworks or industrial experience

  • Geomatics, Surveying or Civil Engineering Technology education

  • Current construction safety tickets
