Full-Time | Permanent | $22.00-$27.00/hour + Overtime

LN Land Development Technologies is looking for a motivated Survey Assistant to join our Edmonton team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with field experience who wants to continue developing their skills, gain hands-on experience with survey technology, and build a long-term career in the survey industry.

Working alongside experienced Surveyors and reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll support a variety of field projects throughout Edmonton and surrounding areas. If you enjoy working outdoors, learning new skills, and being part of a hardworking field team, we want to hear from you.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Survey Assistant, you’ll work directly with experienced field staff and gain practical experience across a variety of projects. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assist Surveyors with a variety of field surveying activities

  • Set up, operate, and care for survey equipment, tools, and vehicles

  • Assist with GPS, Total Station, and other survey equipment

  • Record and maintain accurate survey field notes and records

  • Complete surveying and related field tasks under the direction of senior staff

  • Follow LN and client safety requirements, procedures, and safe work practices

  • Maintain a high level of care and accuracy in all assigned work

  • Participate in training, coaching, and ongoing development opportunities

  • Work collaboratively with field crews, supervisors, and project teams


WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for someone who is dependable, safety-minded, eager to learn, and comfortable working in an outdoor field environment.

Required:

  • High School Diploma

  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with a clean 5-year driver’s abstract

  • 1-2 years of experience working as a Survey Assistant preferreed

  • Strong work ethic and proven reliability

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy

  • Good communication and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to take direction, learn new skills, and apply coaching and feedback

  • Ability to work a varied schedule, including overtime and weekends when required

  • Physically capable of working outdoors for extended periods in varying weather conditions

Assets:

  • Post-secondary education or coursework in Geomatics, Surveying, or a related field

  • Experience with Trimble GPS and Total Station equipment

  • Previous construction, municipal, legal, or other field survey experience


WORK DETAILS

Location: Edmonton, Alberta
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Field schedules may vary depending on project requirements and may include:

  • 8, 10, or 12-hour shifts

  • Monday to Friday

  • Overtime

  • Weekends as required
