Full job description

UGROUPE is a well-established company manufacturing and importing apparel for major retailers across North America, looking for an ambitious and dynamic person to fill in a position as Assistant Apparel Product Developer.

As part of our products team you will be asked to help in the following areas:

- Communicate with fabric/trim/garment suppliers, for style development details & samples follow-up;

- Document samples and swatches (date, pictures, etc.);

- Thoroughly evaluate garments, trims & labels, accessories, and fabrics (strike-offs, lab dips, hand looms, etc.), based on specifications given by the buyer, to the manufacturer;

- Collaborate with Production Manager to maintain samples progression charts and calendars updated daily, to insure delivery deadlines are met.

- Assist Product Development Team with research and development of projects for new customers.

Computer skills required:

- Adobe Creative Suite (preferred)

- Outlook, Excel, Word, Microsoft Suite.

This position is open for full-time and part time, for a candidate who is very detail oriented and organized. The best person should also be able to meet deadlines given and be capable of taking initiatives upon learning the company's way. Extensive knowledge of English, written and spoken, is a must.

It is a great opportunity for someone willing to work hard and learn a lot, to develop the skills towards building a career in fashion.

Open to entry level candidates as well as candidates with experience.
