Full job description

At AUSCAN Medical, we specialize in providing elite medical, safety, and emergency response solutions to remote industrial projects. We partner with premier resource operations to ensure the highest standards of safety, preparedness, and incident response. We are currently seeking dedicated, highly trained Mine Rescue Personnel to join our emergency response team at a major project site in Northern BC.

Position Overview

In this critical role, you will be responsible for maintaining peak operational readiness and executing rapid, effective emergency interventions. You will protect personnel, assets, and operations by participating in a wide range of emergency response, rescue, and preparedness activities under the direction of site leadership.

Key Responsibilities & Duties

  • Emergency Response Operations: Participate actively in all on-site emergency response activities, including surface/underground mine rescue, fire response, confined space rescue, and high-angle rescue.
  • Preparedness & Planning: Support emergency evacuation activities, emergency preparedness drills, and Incident Command support functions.
  • Operational Readiness: Maintain 100% operational readiness of all rescue apparatus, emergency vehicles, and response equipment at all times during scheduled shifts.
  • Compliance & Safety: Comply fully with all established site emergency response procedures, safety plans, and protocols. Maintain an flawless personal safety record on shift.
  • Additional Duties: Execute other tactical emergency response and safety functions as directed by site leadership.

Requirements & Qualifications

To be considered for deployment, candidates must possess and maintain the following mandatory credentials:

  • Current, valid Canadian Mine Rescue Certification. (mandatory)
  • Pre-Mobilization Documentation: Selected personnel must submit copies of all valid certifications, comprehensive training records, up-to-date resumes, and documented relevant experience prior to site mobilization.
  • Fitness & Medical: Must be medically fit, pass site-specific medical and rigorous fitness assessments, and maintain a clean safety record.
  • Professional Standards: Responsible for managing ongoing training and recertification requirements, providing proof of qualification immediately upon request.

Work Conditions

  • Location: Remote site in Northern BC.
  • Travel: Fly-in, fly-out (FIFO) arrangements with full camp accommodations and meals provided. To nearest airport shuttle bus to site location.
  • Roster: 2 weeks on, 2 weeks off
