Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care, assist in diagnosing and treating various medical conditions, and work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals. This role is essential in ensuring that patients receive comprehensive care and support throughout their treatment journey.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking medical histories and performing physical examinations.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians.
  • Administer medications and manage pain effectively for patients.
  • Collect and analyze patient data to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Provide acute care services, including emergency interventions when required.
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR) using systems such as Cerner.
  • Participate in research initiatives to improve patient outcomes and advance medical knowledge.
  • Educate patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventive care strategies.
  • Administrative tasks including but not limited to: Scheduling patients, maintaining work place and take care of all medical equipment and sensitive patient data.

Skills

  • Strong background in patient care with a focus on empathy and communication.
  • Proficient in pain management techniques and strategies.
  • Experience in data collection methods for effective patient assessment.
  • Knowledge of acute care practices and emergency response protocols.
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems, particularly Cerner.
  • Understanding of medical terminology to facilitate clear communication within the healthcare team.
  • Ability to work effectively with pediatric populations, understanding their specific healthcare needs.
