NMC is a preferred Canadian travel nurse agency, proudly based in Kjipuktuk (Halifax), on Mi’kmaq territory. We honour Indigenous lands & communities across Canada. We are all Treaty People.

Unlike most travel nurse agencies, NMC was founded by nurses, for nurses. We know that exceptional patient care starts with well-supported, empowered nurses. Our mission is simple: to connect nurses with important job opportunities across Canada, where they feel valued, safe, and supported.

If you're resourceful, confident working independently, and passionate about making a meaningful impact in northern communities, we'd love to hear from you.

NMC Requirements:

  • Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada
  • Minimum of two years of Canadian nursing experience in your specialty

  • A valid BLS certification completed through an in-person course
  • Valid ACLS certification
  • Valid TNCC or ITLS

Why You'll Love Working with NMC:

  • Competitive pay with additional perks, including incentives, per diems, and bonuses (varies by location)
  • Paid travel and accommodations
  • WCB and Professional Liability Insurance are provided
  • Reimbursement for nursing licensure fees after successful completion of 6 weeks on contract
  • Employee Referral Program
  • Explore unique and diverse locations across Canada
  • Flexible assignments tailored to your lifestyle
  • Conducting facilities site visits prior to assigning nurses to contracts
  • Backed by NMC’s supportive team every step of the way

NMC is dedicated to fostering a diverse, equitable, and inclusive environment for the travel nurses, healthcare partners, and communities we serve. Our commitment to inclusion is central to delivering exceptional healthcare staffing services across Canada—we believe that welcoming diverse backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives not only enhances the quality of care we provide, but also strengthens our organization as a whole. We continuously evaluate and improve our policies and practices to uphold these values and ensure that every individual connected to NMC feels respected, supported, and a true sense of belonging.

We appreciate all applicants’ interest, however only those selected for an interview will be contacted by our HR team. We encourage applicants to monitor their junk/spam email folders for any updates in the recruitment process.
