Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated and skilled paramedics and ER nurses to join our team on a casual basis for events occurring throughout Calgary and Canmore in 2026-2027.

If you are a brand new EMR or PCP with no prior work experience, candidates must attend 2x mandatory orientation and training sessions before working their first shift.

Possible upcoming jobs will begin in August 2026

The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in pre-hospital settings, responding to emergency calls, and delivering critical medical interventions and treatment. This role requires strong clinical skills, the ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to patient safety and comfort.

Duties

  • Respond promptly to emergency calls and assess the situation to determine the necessary level of care.
  • Provide advanced life support and basic life support as needed, including medication administration and monitoring vital signs.
  • Perform lifting when transporting patients onto backboards, stretchers or in wheelchairs.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and other healthcare professionals regarding treatment plans and patient conditions.
  • Document patient assessments, treatments provided, and any changes in condition accurately in accordance with medical protocols.
  • Maintain equipment and supplies, ensuring readiness for emergency situations, giving patient report when handing over care to EMS ambulance crews.

Experience

  • Previous experience as a paramedic or ER nurse (RN only) or in a similar role is an asset
  • New graduates are welcome to apply
  • Experience in medication administration and familiarity with emergency response protocols is highly valued.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with patients, families, and healthcare teams are necessary.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure while managing multiple tasks effectively.
