Who we're looking for: We're looking for a friendly, motivated person who enjoys working with people and is ready to take on new challenges every day. Our ideal candidate has a positive attitude, is comfortable with technology (computers, social media, and everyday software), communicates effectively, and thrives in a fast-paced environment. Most importantly, they're eager to learn, enjoy being part of a team, and take pride in providing an exceptional patient experience.

No previous experience in optometry? No problem! We provide comprehensive on-the-job training and are looking for the right person with the right attitude.

  • Educate patients about testing procedures and our services
  • Learn to assist with frame fittings, adjustments, and minor repairs
  • Learn to order contact lenses and eyewear
  • Assist with optical inventory management and merchandising
  • Welcome patients by greeting them in person or on the phone; answer or refer inquiries as needed; respond to emails

  • Enter and maintain accurate patient information in our electronic medical records
  • Bill third-party health insurance
  • Continuously look for ways to improve clinic workflow and enhance the patient experience
  • Ensure the waiting room, exam rooms, and optical are clean, organized, and ready for patients (including sanitizing equipment after appointments)
  • Keep the plants alive

Ideal candidate qualities:

  • Professional, dependable, and positive
  • Genuinely enjoys working with people (especially kids!)
  • Eager to learn and develop new skills
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
  • Thrives in a busy environment and can confidently multitask
  • Comfortable using technology and learning new systems
  • Interested in building a career in eye care (an interest in pursuing Optician training is considered an asset)

Assets:

  • Experience in customer service
  • Experience working in a medical or healthcare clinic
