Are you an experienced Electrical Engineer passionate about designing innovative, code-compliant solutions in the industrial sector? CANUSA EPC is seeking a skilled and motivated Electrical Engineer to lead the development of electrical systems and construction packages for our diverse portfolio of projects across North America. This role plays a key part in delivering high-quality designs that meet industry codes and standards, collaborating closely with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams.

This resource will also serve as a client-facing representative of the Employer, requiring the resource to communicate with clients as needed and support the installed base of CANUSA EPC’s clients. The resource, from time to time, maybe required to travel to customer sites, events, or training related to business activities for the Employer.

2. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Support of CANUSA EPC projects in North America

o Develop low voltage one-line diagrams

o Generate motor schematics and control panel drawings

o Create grounding, lighting and cable tray plans

o Technical specification regarding CANUSA EPC designed and fabricated buildings

o Participate in design efforts

o Construction support

· Work with, guide, and support junior and intermediate engineers

· Maintain professional engineering registration in states where CANUSA EPC performs engineering services, such as, but not limited to Colorado, Texas, New Mexico, Wyoming, and North Dakota

· Conduct site surveys to gather field data, requiring visits away from home to support and start up CANUSA EPC projects

· Interface with clients, vendors, and facility operations personnel

· Participate in project, team, or companywide meetings

· Understand and practice CANUSA EPC’s engineering and safety standards while performing business-related services

· Perform to CANUSA EPC to engineering standards, policies, or details

· Requires willingness to work a flexible schedule

3. SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies to perform the essential functions of this position:

· Working knowledge of basic industrial processes; oil and gas, manufacturing

· Low voltage designs

· Load calculation for power requirement sizing

· Knowledge of applicable federal, provincial, and local building codes and safety laws, especially the CEC codes

· Must have a working knowledge of IEEE, NFPA, and ANSI/ISA

· Strong interpersonal skills to work with users

· Exceptional communication skills and customer service practices

· Ability to learn and support new systems and applications

· Able to work with and communicate with field operations personnel to troubleshoot and fix system and process issues in the Petroleum and energy industries

· Proficient in Word &Excel

4. EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

· Minimum level of 5 years’ electrical engineering experience regarding low voltage or medium voltage equipment

· Minimum level of 4 years’ experience in upstream and midstream oil and gas

· A successful candidate will have various experiences working at or with EPCMs, producers and midstream companies

· Strong technical/computer background

· Managing and developing engineering resources

· Successfully manage multiple priorities and assignments

5. EDUCATION / DESIGNATION REQUIREMENTS

· Accredited Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering

· Active professional engineering licensure in the United States

· A valid driver’s license

· A passport and eligible travel to Canada

6. LANGUAGE SKILLS

· Oral communication—the individual speaks clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations, demonstrates group presentation skills and conducts meetings.

· Written Communication—the individual edits work for spelling and grammar, presents numerical data effectively and is able to read and interpret written information.

7. REASONING ABILITY

· Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draws valid conclusions.

The performance of this position may require travel in North America & job sites where under certain areas require the use of PPE (personal protective equipment).
