Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Electrician to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across various projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial electrical work, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse renovation and construction projects, utilizing a wide range of hand and power tools. The Electrician will ensure all electrical systems meet safety standards and operate efficiently, supporting our commitment to quality and safety.

Duties

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams to plan electrical installations and repairs
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in industrial settings
  • Utilize hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete electrical tasks accurately
  • Install electrical controls and panel boxes
  • Replace and repair electrical controls and panel boxes
  • Splice, join and connect wires
  • Test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits
  • Troubleshoot and isolate faults
  • Install surface mount and/or overhead cables
  • Renovate electrical systems in residential and commercial structures
  • Assist with renovation projects by upgrading or replacing existing electrical systems
  • Conduct inspections to identify potential issues and implement effective solutions
  • Follow all safety protocols related to electrical work and construction sites
  • Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction or renovation projects to ensure seamless execution

Experience

  • Proven experience as an electrician in industrial or construction environments is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and schematics interpretation
  • Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and electrical testing equipment
  • Familiarity with low voltage wiring, PLCs, and automation systems is highly desirable
  • Prior handyman experience or general construction background is a plus
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in fast-paced settings
  • Valid electrician's license or certification is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level roles
