Full job description

Platinum Fire and Security is an On the Rise fire protection and safety company that is currently specializing in Fire Protection Inspections, testing and maintenance. Currently servicing clients across BC, Alberta, Saskatchewan, and Manitoba.

We are currently recruiting for a technician to join our Fire Alarm Division, working with a professional and successful team. This position will include performing installations, inspections, testing, verification, repair and maintenance work on various fire protection equipment.

  • CFAA certification/Journeyman electrician.
  • Preference certification: NFPA 10 Fire Extinguisher, Fire Suppression (SAIT).
  • Have at least 3 years experience in the fire/life safety industry.
  • Must possess strong communication skills along with command of the English language both oral and written.
  • Responsibilities include annual inspections, verifications, service calls, troubleshooting, repairs and installations.
  • Capable of preparing thorough reports and inspection documentation.
  • Prepared to handle after hour and weekend service calls on a rotation basis.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with a clean driver abstract.
  • Factory training on systems would be an asset.
  • Ability to professionally represent our company with a respectful demeanor with both staff and clients.
  • Some travel is required.
  • Canadian resident/Ability to work in Canada.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
