As our Alberta presence continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced industrial professional to work directly with customers throughout the province.

Position Summary

The Technical Sales Representative - Industrial Automation works directly with manufacturers and industrial facilities to understand operational challenges and identify opportunities where automation, controls, robotics, electrical upgrades, and automation services can add value.

This role combines technical consultation, customer relationship management, and project coordination. Working closely with Sync Robotics' applications engineering team, you will help customers evaluate potential projects and guide them from initial discussions through solution development.

This position is well suited to someone with experience in industrial automation, controls, electrical systems, manufacturing, or industrial maintenance who enjoys working with customers and solving technical problems.

Responsibilities

Customer Consultation

• Visit manufacturing and industrial facilities throughout Alberta.
• Learn about customer operations, equipment, and production processes.
• Understand operational challenges related to safety, reliability, productivity, and maintenance.
• Recommend practical automation and controls solutions.

Solution Development

Work with Sync Robotics' application engineering team to develop solutions involving:

• Industrial robotics
• PLC and HMI systems
• Industrial controls
• VFDs and motor controls
• Machine safety
• Electrical modernization
• Industrial service and maintenance

Coordinate project discussions from initial concept through proposal development and project execution.

Relationship Management

• Build long-term relationships with industrial customers.
• Maintain regular communication with existing and prospective customers.
• Participate in plant visits, technical meetings, and industry events.
• Collaborate with electrical contractors, engineering firms, equipment suppliers, and manufacturing partners.

Market Awareness

• Stay informed about industrial technologies and automation trends.
• Identify opportunities where Sync Robotics can provide long-term value.
• Share customer feedback with engineering and leadership to support continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Required

• Five or more years of industrial sales experience.
• Experience working with manufacturing or industrial facilities.
• Strong understanding of industrial electrical or automation systems.
• Experience with one or more of the following:
• Industrial automation
• Controls systems
• PLCs
• HMIs
• Industrial electrical systems
• Robotics
• Machine safety
• Industrial service
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to travel throughout Alberta.

Preferred

• Technical diploma, engineering technology diploma, journeyperson certification, or engineering degree.
• Experience with Rockwell Automation, Siemens, Schneider Electric, ABB, Omron, FANUC, or similar platforms.
• Experience working with engineered industrial projects.
• Established relationships within Alberta's industrial sector are considered an asset.

Location

Remote within Alberta (Calgary or Edmonton preferred), with regular travel to customer facilities throughout the province.

Pay: $70,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
