Location: GTA North

Department: UTG Electric / Field Operations / Team Lead

Job Type: Full-Time, Non-Union, Benefits

Job Summary

This role, as part of our new electrical division launch, will support our established home services operations by delivering high-quality service, diagnostics, installation and repair of residential electrical systems. As an experienced electrician, you will work closely with members of our Installation and Service Teams to ensure timely delivery of our electrical services and products to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform primarily residential electrical work including: HVAC high and low voltage systems, wiring, controls, troubleshooting, panel upgrades, EV charger installations, Gen-set installs, etc
  • Respond to dispatched service calls and complete jobs within scheduled timeframes
  • Diagnose system issues and provide effective solutions while on-site
  • Accurately document work performed in systems (notes, parts used, findings)
  • Communicate with UTG’s Installation Leaders regarding job status and updates
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and company procedures
  • Maintain tools, equipment, and fleet vehicles

Operational Expectations (UTG Electric / Enercare Focus)

  • Adherence to daily workload targets and scheduling commitments
  • Timely case completion and proper closure in system
  • Strong communication with the Installation Team to avoid missed or duplicate cases
  • Maintain high customer service standards during on-site visits
  • Contribute to reducing repeat service calls and improving first-time resolution

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Valid Electrical License (309A or equivalent)
  • HVAC Certification (s) or working knowledge of B149/313D considered a strong asset
  • Gas Technician License (G2/G1 considered an asset)
  • First Aid Certification preferred
  • Working at Heights Certification preferred
  • 2–5+ years of field experience electrical work with resdidential a an asset
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Skills

  • HVAC installation both high and low voltage, repair, working in customer homes electrical troubleshooting and wiring
  • Problem-solving and analytical thinking
  • Ability to work independently in a field environment
  • Strong communication and customer service skills

Performance Measures

  • Completion of assigned calls within SLA
  • Accuracy of technician findings and notes
  • Customer satisfaction scores
  • Compliance with safety and operational standards
