Northern Vision Development is hiring a General Manager to lead day-to-day performance across our Dawson hospitality portfolio: Downtown Hotel, Midnight Sun Hotel, Eldorado Hotel, Bonanza Dining Room, and Sourdough Saloon. This is an on-the-ground role for a steady, hands-on operator who can run high-volume seasonal businesses by setting clear standards, building strong teams, resolving issues quickly, and ensuring guests receive consistent service every day.

  • Teams are staffed, trained, scheduled, and supported; people know what good looks like and deliver on it.
  • Guest issues are handled quickly and professionally.
  • Labour, food, and operating costs are controlled; results track to plan and problems are surfaced early.
  • Franchise standards and property requirements are consistently met, and hotel/franchise audits and inspections are completed successfully.
  • Facilities and safety standards are maintained.
  • NVD maintains strong visibility and credibility in Dawson through active community presence, relationship-building, and productive local partnerships.

What You Bring To The Role

  • Experience managing hotel and restaurant operations
  • Strong capability in staffing and labour planning
  • Demonstrated experience in cost control in labour and F&B (labour %, food cost, purchasing, waste, inventory discipline).
  • A compliance mindset (cash handling, liquor service, food safety, health & safety, incidents).
  • Confidence operating in a remote context with shifting priorities and practical constraints.
  • Sound judgment under pressure, strong communication, and reliable follow-through.

What You’ll Love About Working Here

You’ll lead from the front in one of Yukon’s most distinctive communities - working closely with local partners, businesses, and residents in a place where relationships matter and your leadership is visible every day. Along the way, you’ll enjoy:
