Full job description

Support and Substitute Teacher

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate teacher to join our educational team. The successful candidate will help create a positive, inclusive learning environment and support students’ academic and social development through engaging instruction and individualized support. Experience supporting students with diverse learning needs, including students with disabilities, is an asset.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with administration and classroom teachers to adapt instruction, implement accommodations, and develop strategies that meet students’ learning needs.
  • Provide targeted small-group and individual instruction, particularly in literacy and numeracy.
  • Monitor and document student progress, and communicate observations to classroom teachers and administration.
  • Serve as a substitute for homeroom or subject teachers, as assigned by administration.
  • Supervise students during recess, lunch, transitions, and other assigned times.
  • Co-teach Physical Education or option classes, as needed.
  • Provide in-class support during junior high mathematics lessons, working alongside the classroom teacher to help students understand concepts and complete learning activities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $4,000.00-$4,200.00 per month

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
