Property Manager
Fort McMurray, AB | Full-Time, Permanent
Edon Management is seeking an experienced Facility Manager / Property Manager to take full operational and financial ownership of a commercial building portfolio in Fort McMurray. This role is ideal for a hands-on facilities professional who enjoys accountability, problem‑solving, and building strong client relationships—not just coordinating tasks.

You will be responsible for the day‑to‑day performance of your portfolio, including building operations, contractor management, budgeting, and compliance, while leading site teams and delivering high service standards to clients and tenants.

What You’ll Do
  • Own the day‑to‑day operations and long‑term performance of an assigned commercial building portfolio
  • Oversee building operations, repairs, tenant requests, and preventive maintenance programs
  • Lead, support, and hold site teams and subcontractors accountable for service delivery and performance
  • Manage contract deliverables, KPIs, and service specifications
  • Prepare and manage annual operating budgets, monitor variances, and control expenditures
  • Conduct regular building inspections, assess building condition, and support capital planning initiatives
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, tenants, contractors, and suppliers
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, safety standards, and applicable legislation
  • Participate in an on‑call rotation to respond to after‑hours and weekend emergencies as required

What You Bring
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial facilities or property management
  • Direct experience managing building operations, maintenance projects, and subcontracted services
  • Strong working knowledge of building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, life safety, etc.)
  • Proven leadership experience working with on‑site teams and external vendors
  • Solid financial acumen, including budgeting and cost control
  • Strong communication skills and a professional, client‑focused approach
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office; experience with CMMS and MRI is an asset
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract
Asset
  • Commercial Real Estate or Facilities designation preferred (RPA, CPM, FMA, or equivalent)
  • 4th or 5th Class Power Engineering certification
