Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing excellent customer service, handling transactions accurately, and maintaining a welcoming environment for all shoppers. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting. Bilingual abilities and experience with retail sales or POS systems are highly valued. The Cashier plays a crucial role in ensuring smooth store operations and enhancing the overall customer experience.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases
  • Operate POS systems accurately to process sales transactions
  • Handle cash, credit, and digital payments with precision and security
  • Provide product information and conduct product demos when needed
  • Upsell items and promote ongoing sales or promotions to maximize revenue
  • Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure shelves are stocked appropriately
  • Manage customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism
  • Ensure the checkout area is clean, organized, and welcoming at all times
  • Assist with inventory management and stock replenishment as required
  • Follow company policies on cash handling, security procedures, and customer service standards

Skills

  • Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
  • Experience with retail sales, cashiering, or POS systems
  • Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and transaction processing
  • Customer service-oriented mindset with a friendly demeanor

Pay: $15.00-$16.00 per hour
