Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Economics Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching economics, a strong understanding of economic principles, and the ability to engage students in meaningful learning experiences. This role offers an opportunity to inspire future economists and develop students' critical thinking, research, and analytical skills within a dynamic academic environment. The position involves designing lesson plans, delivering engaging lectures, and assessing student progress using modern educational tools and methodologies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver comprehensive economics curriculum aligned with educational standards.
  • Incorporate technology enhance classroom instruction.
  • Conduct research and stay current with economic trends to provide relevant and up-to-date content.
  • Facilitate classroom discussions that foster critical thinking and analytical skills among students.
  • Assess student performance through exams, projects, and presentations; provide constructive feedback.
  • Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate writing skills, data analysis (SPSS), and visualization tools.
  • Maintain effective communication with students, parents, and colleagues to support student success.
  • Support bilingual students by providing instructional materials in multiple languages when necessary.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics, Education, or related field; advanced degrees preferred.
  • Prior classroom experience teaching economics or related social sciences.
  • Strong research skills and familiarity with data analysis software
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Bilingual abilities are a plus to support diverse student populations.
  • Demonstrated teaching ability with engaging instructional methods that promote active learning.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to develop detailed lesson plans and assessments.This position provides an enriching environment for educators passionate about economics education and committed to fostering academic excellence among students.

Pay: $17.85-$55.00 per hour
