We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Intermediate Environmental Scientist to join our team in our Calgary office. In this role you will be responsible for providing technical expertise, supporting project delivery including project management, and providing leadership and mentorship within multidisciplinary project teams.

What you’ll do:

  • Contribute technical expertise to environmental projects across design, permitting, construction, and post‑construction phases.
  • Lead and author technical deliverables and reports.
  • Support environmental monitoring, auditing, and compliance activities on complex construction sites.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including engineers and other scientists.
  • Mentor and support in the development of junior staff.
  • Support and lead project management, including task planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Contribute to business development including proposal development and building client relationships.

Does this sound like you?

  • Undergraduate degree (B.Sc.) in a relevant pure or applied science.
  • 5-10 years of experience of relevant professional experience (consulting experience preferred).
  • Registered or eligible for registration with a professional association in Alberta. (e.g. P.Ag., P.Biol.)
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and projects.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the drive to continue learning and work in a close team environment.
  • Strong understanding of provincial and federal legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong time management and organizational ability.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Ability to convert plans into action and effectively manage time and deliver on commitments.
  • Valid driver's licence.
