Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Infant Toddler Educator to join our early childhood education team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing, safe, and engaging environment for infants and toddlers, supporting their developmental milestones through age-appropriate activities and individualized care. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, classroom experience, and a passion for fostering young children's growth and learning. Bilingual abilities in English and Farsi are highly valued to enhance our diverse learning community. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on children's lives while developing your skills in early childhood education.

This role starts as a part-time position, with the potential to become a full-time permanent position for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities tailored to infants and toddlers’ needs
  • Foster a safe, caring, and stimulating environment that encourages exploration and learning
  • Observe and document children's progress, behaviors, and developmental milestones
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members regarding daily activities and individual needs
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the classroom to ensure safety and compliance with health standards
  • Support children with disabilities or special needs by adapting activities and providing inclusive care
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum plans that promote social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development
  • Utilize computer skills for record-keeping, lesson planning, and communication purposes
  • Manage time efficiently to balance individual attention with group activities
  • Demonstrate leadership by guiding new staff or interns as needed

Experience

  • Prior experience working with children in a classroom or childcare setting is essential
  • Minimum 1 year experience working with infants and toddlers under 3 years old
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Farsi is highly desirable to support diverse learners
  • Strong communication skills necessary for effective interaction with children, parents, and team members
  • Familiarity with early childhood education principles, classroom management, and organizational skills
  • Ability to demonstrate leadership qualities, time management, and excellent writing skills for documentation purposes
  • Previous experience using computer operation for record keeping or educational tools is advantageous

Pay: $22.00-$26.00 per hour
