Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Cashier/Kitchen Staff member to join our dynamic team. This role involves providing exceptional customer service, handling transactions accurately, and assisting with food preparation and sanitation in a fast-paced restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, excellent time management skills, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in food service and cashiering while contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the POS system, including Micros POS, accurately processing customer orders and payments
  • Handle cash transactions with precision and ensure proper cash handling procedures are followed
  • Prepare food items according to established recipes and safety standards, assisting with basic food preparation tasks
  • Serve customers efficiently, providing friendly and attentive customer service
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas in compliance with health regulations
  • Assist with food handling duties, including stocking supplies and organizing kitchen stations
  • Upsell menu items to enhance customer experience and increase sales opportunities
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and order accuracy
  • Follow all food safety protocols, including proper sanitation, storage, and handling of ingredients

Skills

  • Experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred, including familiarity with Micros POS systems
  • Strong cashiering skills with attention to accuracy in cash handling and basic math calculations
  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices in the food industry
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
  • Kitchen experience is a plus, including food preparation and handling skills
  • Good time management skills to prioritize tasks during peak hours
  • Ability to upsell menu items naturally to enhance guest satisfaction and sales performance
