Location: 9308 34 Ave NW, Edmonton, AB, T6E 5X8

Salary: $36.05 hourly / 30 hours per week

Terms of Employment: Permanent employment, Full-time Shifts: Evening, Morning, Night, Day, Weekend

Start Date: Starts as soon as possible

Overview & Responsibilities:New Asian Village Restaurant is seeking a dedicated, experienced full-time Cook to join our team in Edmonton. The successful candidate will be responsible for the execution of daily kitchen operations and food preparation.

Cuisine: East Indian and South Indian

Core Tasks & Duties: * Plan menus and estimate food requirements for their realization. * Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods. * Inspect kitchens and food service areas. * Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food. * Maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment. * Clean kitchen and work areas. * Manage kitchen operations.

Qualifications & Requirements: * Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required.

* Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of commercial cooking experience. *

Credentials: Safe Food Handling certificate (or willingness to obtain)

* Language: English (oral and written communication capabilities).

Work Conditions: Fast-paced environment, physically demanding, standing for extended periods, and working under pressure with close attention to detail.
