KEY OBJECTIVES:

We are currently seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and reliable Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) to join our Montessori Program.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the lead teacher in implementing daily classroom activities aligned with Montessori principles
  • Assist in creating a safe, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment
  • Promote children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment in accordance with all safety protocols
  • Communicate effectively with team members and contribute positively to the workplace culture

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • RECE in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators
  • Preferably someone who has previous Montessori or group childcare experience
  • Strong understanding of child development and early learning practices
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interact with children, parents, and staff
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
  • Strong time management and organizational skills
  • Flexible, adaptable, and able to respond to the changing needs of a busy classroom
  • Commitment to maintaining a safe and respectful environment for children and staff
  • Must have adequate energy level and ability to meet the physical demands of position
  • Valid Standard First Aid and CPR certification (completed at time of hiring or shortly afterwards)
  • Updated Health Assessment and Immunization
  • Clear Police Reference Check for Vulnerable Sector (completed within 6 months of employment)
  • Additional language of the French language would be an asset
