Full job description

Bud & Blossom is a new parent & infant atelier designed to create a warm, inspiring, and community-centred space for babies and caregivers to grow together. Rooted in the philosophies and cultures of Terra Early Learning Society and Nido de Montessori, the program blends infant development, sensory exploration, parent connection, and thoughtfully curated community experiences.

We are looking for a compassionate, emotionally attuned, and community-oriented individual to help lead and shape this program from the ground up.

This is not a traditional daycare classroom position. We are looking for someone who is passionate about supporting families during the early years, building meaningful relationships with parents, and creating a welcoming and supportive community environment for both babies and caregivers.

About the Role

The Parent & Infant Community Lead will help facilitate daily parent & baby sessions, build strong relationships with families, coordinate workshops and guest speakers, and help create a calm, beautiful, and nurturing atmosphere within the space.

This role is ideal for someone with experience working with newborns, infants, toddlers, new parents, or postpartum families who enjoys both community-building and early years programming.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate parent & infant sessions in a calm, welcoming, and engaging manner
  • Create developmentally appropriate sensory experiences and invitations for infants and toddlers
  • Foster meaningful relationships and connections among families
  • Support and communicate with caregivers during the postpartum and early parenting stages
  • Coordinate guest speakers, workshops, and community partnerships
  • Help plan events, parent gatherings, and seasonal experiences
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and aesthetically welcoming environment
  • Collaborate with leadership to help shape and grow the program and community

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience working with newborns, infants, toddlers, and/or new parents
  • Background in Early Childhood Education, infant development, family programming, counselling, social work, nursing, postpartum support, maternal wellness, or related fields
  • Warm, emotionally intelligent, relationship-centered approach
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable facilitating small groups and community-based programming
  • Passionate about early years, family wellness, and parent support
  • Experience with Reggio Emilia, Montessori, inquiry-based, or relationship-based philosophies is an asset
  • Additional experience in postpartum care, lactation support, infant mental health, sleep support, family support, or counselling is considered an asset

Position Details

  • Full-time position
  • Approximately 30–35 hours/week
  • Shorter daytime weekday schedule
  • Hourly compensation: $30–$35/hour depending on experience and qualifications
  • Extended health and benefits package
  • Staff lunch included
