About Us: ABC Daycare is a growing, licensed childcare centre committed to providing a safe, nurturing, and high-quality environment for children. As part of our continued expansion, we are opening a brand new, well-planned centre located next to our existing location. This is a unique leadership opportunity to build, lead, and shape a high-performing team and set the standard for excellence from day one, with strong ownership support and established systems in place.

Job Description:

We are looking for a passionate and driven RECE leader for this exciting leadership role.

The Centre Supervisor will oversee all day-to-day operations of the daycare and lead a team of educators to deliver high-quality childcare. This is a hands-on leadership role ideal for someone who takes pride in running a centre like their own.

This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in setting up operations, building a strong team, and establishing a high-quality childcare environment from day one.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the childcare centre
  • Plan and implement programs that support children’s development (physical, emotional, social, intellectual)
  • Supervise, support, and mentor educators
  • Manage staff scheduling, performance, and daily operations
  • Ensure compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act (CCEYA)
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized environment
  • Manage enrollments, tours, waitlists, and parent communication
  • Promote the centre and support enrollment growth
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation
  • Conduct staff meetings and support professional development
  • Assist in classrooms and daily routines as needed

Requirements:

  • Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE) in good standing
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a licensed childcare centre
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Valid First Aid & CPR Level C
  • Clear Vulnerable Sector Check

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong knowledge of Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014 ( CCEYA ) and childcare regulations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Professional, reliable, and team-oriented
  • Strong computer and administrative skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
