Full job description

Position: RECE Montessori Assistant Teacher

Location: 256 Christie St, Toronto ON

Hours: 9:30-5:30pm

Start Date: August 26th, 2026

We are seeking candidates for the position of Montessori Assistant Teacher. This position requires an RECE, and experience in a Montessori environment would be an asset to the position. This position involves supporting a classroom of 24 children ages 3 to 6 years old. This candidate must have experience working with preschool age children, be passionate about child development, and must have an understanding for requirements under the Ministry of Education.

The candidate will work to uphold the standards of Odyssey Montessori School, and adhere to the values of the Montessori philosophy. This is not a lead teacher position, and instead this position will work together with the lead to support the overall vision of the teacher, while creating a safe, joyful and positive learning environment for the children.

The candidate will work 40 hours a week from 9:30-5:30pm and be responsible for our aftercare program, which involves closing.

Pay: $24.00-$27.00 per hour
