Full job description

We’re looking for a passionate Assistant Sales & Events Manager to join the team at The Loft at Earls Yaletown.


The Loft is a dynamic event and hospitality space, hosting everything from private celebrations and corporate events to public cocktail nights. In this role, you’ll work closely with the Sales & Events Manager to support the planning, coordination and execution of events while also playing a hands-on role in bringing the space to life.


This is a dynamic position for someone who loves events, hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.


As an Assistant Sales & Events Manager, you will:

  • Support the Sales & Events Manager with the planning, coordination and execution of private events and Public Nights at The Loft.
  • Assist with incoming event inquiries, gathering information about guest objectives, budgets and preferences.
  • Support event sales and identify opportunities to enhance the guest experience through thoughtful recommendations and upselling.
  • Maintain clear internal communication and event documentation to ensure details are organized and executed seamlessly.
  • Coordinate with the Events Manager, restaurant leadership, event partners and outside vendors before, during and after events.
  • Take an active, hands-on role in event execution, including serving and/or bartending as needed.
  • Help ensure events are organized, timely and executed to Earls standards for hospitality and service.
  • Ensure events comply with applicable licensing, health and safety standards.


What we need from you:

  • A passion for hospitality, events and creating exceptional guest experiences.
  • Strong organization and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple moving pieces.
  • A hands-on approach and willingness to jump in wherever needed to support the team and our guests.
  • Serving and/or bartending experience, with confidence working in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
  • A natural interest in sales and building relationships with guests.
  • Strong administrative skills, including email and calendar management.
  • Experience with Tripleseat is an asset.
  • A willingness to learn and an openness to feedback, coaching and mentorship.
  • The ability to legally work in Canada.
