Experienced Roll-Off Driver / Boom Truck Operator

Location: London, Ontario and Cambridge, Ontario (YOU MUST BE ABLE TO TRANSFER IN BETWEEN LONDON AND IN CAMBRIDGE AS NEEDED)
Pay: Starting at $30.00-$35.00 per hour "depends on experience"
Job Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 5:00 AM–Until routes are completed
Overtime: Available after 44 hours per week

This position is for experienced roll-off drivers ONLY. Applicants must have a valid DZ license, a minimum of 2 years of commercial driving experience, and previous hands-on experience operating a roll-off truck.

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and safety-conscious roll-off driver/boom truck operator to join our team in London, Ontario.

You will be responsible for safely operating roll-off trucks and equipment while servicing commercial and residential customers throughout Southern Ontario.

Training will take place at our London head office and will include the opportunity to obtain a Crane Truck Certificate provided by the company.

This role involves servicing roll-off containers, Better Bins, and in-ground waste systems at various customer locations and job sites.

We are looking for someone who is dependable, professional, and comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate roll-off trucks and related equipment at various job sites.
• Load, unload, position, and secure bins and containers properly.
• Complete daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate driving logs, service records, and required paperwork.
• Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.
• Report equipment issues, unsafe conditions, and incidents to a supervisor immediately.
• Perform basic equipment cleaning and maintenance as required.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch, supervisors, and customers.
• Work safely at commercial, residential, and active construction sites.
• Help maintain efficient routes and reliable customer service.

Requirements: The following qualifications are mandatory:

• Valid DZ driver's license.
• Minimum 2 years of commercial driving experience.
• Previous roll-off truck operating experience is REQUIRED.
• Experience operating manual transmission trucks.
• Strong commitment to safe driving and workplace safety.
• Ability to work independently and follow instructions.
• Good communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical duties, including bending, standing, and walking.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and at active construction sites.
• Steel-toed safety boots and other required personal protective equipment.

Additional Assets:

• Crane operation certification or ticket (0–8 tonnes).
• Tri-axle dump truck experience.
• High school diploma or GED.

Work Schedule and Conditions

• Full-time, Monday to Friday.
• Regular hours: 5:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
• Overtime available after 44 hours per week.
• Occasional Saturday work may be required.
• Work takes place indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Exposure to dust, noise, odours, and active construction sites.
