Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Drywall/Taper to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for finishing drywall installations, taping, and preparing surfaces for painting or finishing. This role requires attention to detail, craftsmanship, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment. Experience in carpentry, drywall installation, and related trades is highly valued. The Drywall/Taper plays a vital role in ensuring high-quality interior finishes on residential and commercial projects.

Duties

  • Apply drywall sheets accurately and securely to walls and ceilings according to project specifications
  • Tape joints and seams using joint compound, ensuring smooth, even finishes
  • Sand and finish drywall surfaces to prepare for painting or further finishing work
  • Perform caulking around edges, corners, and fixtures for a clean appearance
  • Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure proper installation
  • Assist with other carpentry or handyman tasks as needed on the job site
  • Maintain a clean work area and ensure safety protocols are followed at all times
  • Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and quality standards

Requirements

  • Proven experience in drywall installation, taping, and finishing
  • Knowledge of construction painting, caulking, and general carpentry skills preferred
  • Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings accurately
  • Construction experience or handyman background is highly desirable
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on craftsmanship
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various indoor construction environments
  • Good physical condition with the ability to lift materials and stand for extended periods
