Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable Route Driver to join our team. The Route Driver will be responsible for delivering supplies and collecting waste from various locations efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities
- Safely operate a commercial vehicle to deliver products along designated routes
- Provide excellent customer service during deliveries
- Load and unload goods from the vehicle
- Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams
- Perform minimal warehouse duties as needed
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety regulations

Skills
- Experience in driving and navigating routes
- Ability to handle heavy lifting and operate a pallet jack (tow motor)
- Strong English communication skills for interacting with customers and team members
- Familiar with truck inspections and e-logs
- Ability to drive a 26 foot truck with Air Brakes

Additional Information

  • Overnight trips are rotated between drivers (0-4 nights per month)
  • Electronic logbooks used
  • RPRA used when transporting hazardous or biomedical waste
  • The use of dollies, carts and pump trucks required.
  • Primarily 18ft trucks used, with one 26ft truck with air brakes

A typical day is 300km of driving and 10 stops. Start times vary from 5-7am which generally reflect the end of day time as a typical day is 9.5 hours.

Pay: $26.00 per hour

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Barrie, ON L4N 8Z5: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
