Full job description

O.N.E. Transport Group, has opening for couriers to perform deliveries in Hinton and surrounding areas. This position is based out of our Hinton office. Previous courier/delivery experience is an asset but we will consider training an otherwise suitable employee.

Successful applicant will:

- Have a class 5 license

- Ability to provide a 3 year drivers abstract with no more than 3 demerit points.

- Have a previous customer service background and a desire to provide an excellent customer experience.

- Be in good physical condition and able to lift up to 75 LBS without assistance and 150 lbs with assistance.

- Possess or be willing to obtain CSA approved safety footwear.

- Be punctual and consistently able to be at work on time, with references to confirm reliability

- Be an experienced and proficient driver able to safely operate delivery vehicles up to 1 Ton cube truck

- Comfortable driving in all weather conditions and on the hi-way

Should be available two to three times a week for eight to ten hours

Duties:
- Safely and efficiently operate a company vehicle to deliver packages to designated locations
- Follow assigned routes and schedules to ensure timely delivery
- Load and unload packages from the vehicle
- Verify the accuracy of packages and obtain necessary signatures upon delivery
- Maintain proper documentation and records of deliveries
- Adhere to all traffic laws and safety regulations while driving

Skills:
- Previous experience as a courier driver or in a similar role preferred
- Excellent knowledge of local roads and routes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
