    • Education level: High school diploma (DES); DEP in welding, drilling-blasting is an asset.
    • Assist in the execution of drilling operations.
    • Monitor drilling fluid systems and maintain proper drilling conditions.
    • Knowledge of drilling fluid systems and bore path tracking technology.
    • Operational Oversight: Plan and coordinate underground operations, including excavation, drilling, blasting, and transport activities, to meet production goals.
    • Must be physically able to perform drilling operations and move heavy materials up to 50lbs.

Compensation: Competitive hourly wage – based on experience

Employment Type: Contract / Full-Time

WANTED: Experienced Drill Operator for projects throughout Northern Canada/Alaska. We work 12 hour shifts, 7 days a week, with flexible rotation schedules (depending on length of contract). The work is often remote. The ideal candidate will have experience operating sonic drills and diamond drills. A background in environmental, geotechnical, and / or exploration drilling is considered a huge asset for this role.

Job Description: Operate and move heli-drill rig. Well and instrument installs, packer testing. Catalogue core samples. Daily inspections and reporting of equipment condition. Assistance with mobilization between job sites either by track or helicopter. Managing and overseeing maintenance of equipment. Maintain safe work habits.

Job Requirements:
-3 years experience operating similar equipment
-Mechanical/Welding experience is a plus-Helicopter experience-Due to demanding physical job requirements, applicant must be physically fit and willing to work in all weather conditions
-Must be reliable and consistently show a willingness to work throughout the season
-Must be prepared to live and work in a remote camp environment (room and board are provided, satellite internet and communication is available)

-CDL or Class 1 driver’s license preferred.
-Ability to work in Alaska preferred.
