Responsibilities and Position Overview:

  • Exceed guest expectations of great service by providing and maintaining the highest level of professionalism, and cleanliness
  • Stock and sort cleaning supplies and toiletries and paper products for guest rooms
  • Vacuum, clean, dust and sanitize guest rooms (studio suite, 1 bedroom and 2 bedroom rooms with full kitchens)
  • Make beds, change sheets, remove and replace towels and toiletries
  • Unload dishwasher, clean appliances and surfaces in kitchen
  • Deliver and retrieve items on loan to guests
  • Ensure security of guest rooms and privacy of guests
  • Perform rotation of cleaning duties (annual deep cleaning)
  • Contribute to a positive workspace through the use of effective communication skills within the housekeeping department and all other hotel departments
  • Continually strive to improve cleanliness standards
  • Ensure the cleanliness and order of all work areas and equipment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Support a safe working environment by ensuring all staff are working in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Safe operation of standard Housekeeping equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Currently located in Victoria
  • Passionate about the hospitality industry and the guests you serve
  • Highly responsible & reliable
  • We are a pet friendly hotel, will be required to clean rooms that pets have occupied
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Able to work a flexible schedule which will include weekends
  • Ability to carry out instructions accurately with minimal supervision
  • Are physically fit and able to stand for extended period of time, lift up to 50lbs, and perform repetitive movements
  • Ability to follow instruction
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Workplace Hazardous Materials Information (WHMIS) is an asset

Weekend availability is required for this role.
