Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly, dependable Cashier and Barista to provide welcoming service and support daily café operations. This role combines cashiering, beverage preparation, and general food service. The ideal candidate is attentive, organized, and comfortable working with customers in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers, answer questions, take orders, and provide courteous, efficient customer service.
• Operate a POS system to process orders and payments accurately; experience with Micros POS is helpful.
• Handle cash and other payment methods, provide correct change, and follow cash-handling procedures.
• Prepare coffee and other beverages, along with food items, according to recipes and established procedures.
• Assist with food preparation, serving, and other food service tasks as needed.
• Follow food safety and food-handling practices, including maintaining clean workstations and properly storing ingredients.
• Keep the service area, equipment, and dining spaces clean and orderly.
• Coordinate with team members to manage customer flow and complete tasks promptly.
• Use basic math and time-management skills to verify orders, process transactions, and prioritize work.

Experience

• Previous cashiering, customer service, or food industry experience is preferred.
• Barista experience and food service or serving experience are helpful but not required.
• Familiarity with POS systems, including Micros POS, is an advantage.
• Basic math skills and confidence with cash handling are important.
• Ability to follow food preparation, food-handling, and food safety procedures.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, reliability, and time management are valued.

Pay: $17.95-$19.00 per hour
