Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Food Service Supervisor to oversee daily operations within our food service establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of food preparation and safety, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage a team in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high standards of quality and efficiency are maintained across all aspects of restaurant management.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily food service operations, ensuring smooth workflow and adherence to company standards
  • Lead, train, and motivate staff in food preparation, cooking, serving, and food handling procedures
  • Oversee food safety compliance and maintain cleanliness standards in accordance with health regulations
  • Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling accurately
  • Monitor inventory levels, assist with ordering supplies, and ensure proper food storage practices
  • Conduct interviews and participate in hiring processes to build a competent team
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues promptly to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Oversee kitchen activities including food preparation, cooking, and presentation to uphold quality standards
  • Manage restaurant operations including scheduling, staff management, and ensuring efficient service delivery
  • Maintain a welcoming environment that promotes hospitality and positive guest experiences

Requirements

  • Proven experience in food service or restaurant management, with a background in hospitality or hotel experience preferred
  • Demonstrated supervising experience with team management skills in a fast-paced setting
  • Strong knowledge of food safety protocols, food handling, and kitchen operations
  • Proficiency with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms; cash handling experience required
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to lead by example in serving guests effectively
  • Ability to oversee food preparation, cooking, and restaurant operations while maintaining high standards of quality
  • Leadership qualities including interviewing skills, staff training capabilities, and conflict resolution abilities
  • Experience in restaurant or food industry environments including serving roles or barista experience is advantageous
  • Ability to work under pressure while managing multiple responsibilities efficiently
