Full job description
Taiv works with advertisers such as Coca-Cola, Pepsi, ESPN, Square, Bud Light, Heineken, BetMGM, and LiquidIV. Using our technology, we offer them the ability to buy high-value live sports advertising in bars/restaurants throughout the US. We’re looking for a Chief of staff to work directly with our CRO to be the driving force behind executing major projects on this team.
Who We Are:
Taiv is a fast-growing tech startup located in Winnipeg, Canada. Taiv uses AI to make business TV more fun, engaging, profitable, and easier to manage, starting with bars and restaurants. We’ve built proprietary tech that uses computer vision to watch live TV and improve the content with contextually-aware commercials, content, and games. Our tech also automates the manual AV tasks that venues have to do every day, to make bar management easier, standardized, and more profitable. We’re venture-capital backed and graduated from Y Combinator, the world’s top tech accelerator, in winter 2020. Program alumni include Airbnb, Instacart, DoorDash, etc.
We are looking for a Chief of Staff to join our growing team!
What We’re Looking For:
We’re looking for a highly driven, organized, and resourceful operator to work directly with our Chief Revenue Officer. This role is designed to dramatically increase the CRO’s leverage by owning high-impact initiatives, managing key projects, and ensuring the advertising department operates efficiently at scale.
This is a unique opportunity to operate at the center of Taiv’s revenue engine. You’ll gain exposure to sales, operations, hiring, analytics, and strategy, while playing a critical role in accelerating growth across the advertising team.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Take ownership of key initiatives and projects across the advertising/sales team
- Act as a force multiplier for the CRO by driving execution on high-priority tasks
- Manage and optimize the hiring process for the advertising department, including developing hiring criteria and ensuring timely execution
- Build and deliver weekly audits, reports, and insights to support data-driven decision-making
- Identify inefficiencies and implement systems/processes to improve team productivity
- Work cross-functionally to ensure alignment across teams, timelines, and deliverables
- Integrate seamlessly into the CRO’s workflow, tools, and tech stack
- Leverage tools like AI (e.g., Claude) to improve speed, accuracy, and output
Who You Are:
- You are extremely organized and detail-oriented, with a bias toward action
- You thrive in fast-paced environments and can manage multiple priorities simultaneously
- You’re a strong communicator who can work effectively across teams
- You’re highly resourceful and comfortable figuring things out independently
- You enjoy solving complex problems and taking ownership of outcomes
- You are technically minded and comfortable working with tools like Google Sheets and AI platforms
- You are adaptable and excited to take on new challenges as the company evolves
Your Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in a high-performance environment (startup, consulting, operations, or similar)
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Experience working with data, reporting, or analytics tools
- Familiarity with AI tools and process automation is a strong asset
- Proven track record of exceptional achievement (academic, professional, or extracurricular)
Perks:
- Employee stock options
- 100% employer-covered health benefits
- Flex-time & unlimited paid vacation
- Gym membership
- Free parking
- Catered lunches 3x per week
- Dog-friendly office
- Hybrid work model
Job Details:
- Job Type: Full-time
- Salary: $70,000 – $90,000 per year + stock options
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Location Requirement: Winnipeg, MB (must be able to commute or relocate)
Diversity and Inclusion at Taiv:
We are committed to a culture of diversity and inclusion at Taiv. We pledge to never discriminate against any employee or job applicant because of race, colour, religion, national origin, sex, sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, or age.
To show us that you read through this entire guide and you’re a serious candidate, please include the phrase “ADS ARE AWESOME” somewhere in your application.
