Now Hiring Dog Walkers & Pet Sitters – Morning & Midday Availability

Welcome to YK Sitter! We’re growing and looking for reliable, animal-loving individuals to join our team as Dog Walkers & Pet Sitters in Yellowknife.

You’ll be responsible for visiting and caring for our furry (and feathered!) clients. Pets rely on you to provide daily exercise, potty breaks, enrichment, and lots of love—whether that’s neighbourhood leash walks, off-leash hikes, or in-home care.

Our clientele includes dogs, cats, guinea pigs, birds, and more, so no two days are ever the same.

Requirements

  • Must live in Yellowknife
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Valid driver’s license and a reliable vehicle
  • Ability to work and commute in all weather conditions
  • Experience with (and genuine love for) dogs, cats, and/or small animals
  • Enjoy working with people — this is both pet care and customer service
  • Strong communication skills with clients, fellow sitters, and the YK Sitter team
  • Professional, reliable, and punctual
  • Organized and detail-oriented
  • Ability to provide professional references
  • Must pass a current, clean background check
