Responsibilities

• Interpret spoken communication between Spanish and English in real-time during meetings, conferences, or events with accuracy and cultural sensitivity
• Translate written documents, articles, marketing materials, and technical content from Spanish to English and vice versa with precision
• Ensure translations maintain the original tone, style, and intent while adapting to cultural nuances
• Utilize strong writing skills to produce clear, concise, and grammatically correct content in both languages
• Support communication efforts by proofreading and editing translated materials for consistency and quality
• Use typing skills efficiently to input translations swiftly while maintaining accuracy
• Collaborate with teams across departments to facilitate multilingual communication projects involving Quebec Sign Language or other dialects as needed

Experience

• Proven experience in interpretation and translation between Spanish and English in professional settings
• Demonstrated multilingual capabilities including proficiency in Quebec Sign Language is a plus
• Strong understanding of linguistics principles and translation best practices
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex ideas clearly and effectively
• Bilingual fluency in Spanish and English is essential; additional language skills are advantageous
• Familiarity with translation tools, software, or CAT (Computer-Assisted Translation) tools preferred
• Prior experience working with diverse audiences requiring interpretation or translation services enhances your fit for this role
