Full job description
We are seeking a dynamic, motivated, and high-performing HR professional to join a fast-paced Employment Consultancy Services team as an Employment Documentation Specialist.
In this client-facing role, you will provide HR support and guidance focused on employment documentation, working closely with clients to create, review, and update documentation while ensuring alignment with employment legislation, best practices, and organizational policies.
The ideal candidate is highly detail-oriented, confident working directly with clients, and able to provide practical, commercially minded solutions in a fast-paced environment.
You will be working full-time in office, in Downtown Toronto off of King and Union station.
Working hours: 11:30-8pm EST
CHRP designation is required.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct client-facing meetings virtually and, when required, onsite to create, review, and discuss employment documentation.
- Provide clients with guidance and support regarding employment documentation, HR best practices, and applicable employment legislation.
- Review documentation to identify potential risks and provide practical, commercially appropriate recommendations.
- Ensure all documentation and advice provided are accurate, compliant, and aligned with current employment legislation and best practices.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of HR practices, employment standards, and employment law through ongoing learning, training, and legal updates.
- Deliver timely, efficient, and comprehensive service in accordance with established service-level agreements (SLAs), KPIs, and response-time expectations.
- Manage and prioritize a portfolio of client requests and documentation projects from initial consultation through to resolution.
- Build strong, trusted relationships with clients and position yourself as a valued extension of their HR function.
- Communicate professionally and confidently with clients through video conferencing, telephone, email, and in-person meetings.
- Accurately document and record all client interactions, advice, and completed work using internal systems.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the client experience and introduce clients to additional services or resources where appropriate.
- Encourage and gather client feedback to support continuous improvement and enhance overall service quality.
- Complete required e-learning, training, and professional development activities.
- Adapt to evolving client needs, new initiatives, projects, and process improvements within the department.
- Take ownership of client matters from beginning to resolution, ensuring a high-quality and professional experience throughout.
- Perform additional duties and responsibilities as required by the management team.
Qualifications & Skills
- CHRP designation is mandatory.
- Previous experience in a Human Resources role and/or strong knowledge of employment law and employment documentation.
- Excellent written English and strong word-processing skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to produce clear, accurate, and professional documentation.
- Strong client service mindset with a genuine commitment to resolving issues and providing practical, efficient, and pragmatic solutions.
- Professional, confident, and effective communication skills across virtual, telephone, and in-person settings.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced, KPI-driven environment.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and adapt communication styles to meet the needs of different clients.
