The Canadian Air Transport Security Authority (CATSA) has 1 (one) exciting fixed-term opportunity up to September 30, 2027 within the Operations branch at the CATSA HQ.

Summary of responsibilities:
The Procedural Analyst is responsible for supporting CATSA’s mandate by developing and editing new operational procedures with internal clients, conducting process analysis and research, and providing translation quality assurance for several key operational documents targeted to Screening Officers and operational personnel across Canada. The Procedural Analyst is also responsible for providing advice related to CATSA’s Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to internal stakeholders. The Procedural AnalystProcedural Analyst performs all other duties and responsibilities related to the position as required.
What you need to succeed
To qualify for the position, you must have:
-
Graduation from a recognized college or university with specialization in Translation, Linguistics, Journalism, Communications, Public Policy or another specialty relevant to the duties of the position.
-
A minimum of three (3) years of experience in writing, structural, stylistic and copy editing, as well as comparative editing (English/French) of a wide variety of materials (e.g., procedures, policies, briefing notes) and for different audiences.
-
Experience developing and updating various processes and procedures.
-
Experience working in an environment that focuses on high standards of quality and tight deadlines;
-
Experience using a variety of writing and editing tools and software.

Knowledge of CATSA's mandate and priorities, as well as an awareness of relevant legislation affecting CATSA or aviation security as a whole.

Experience in writing and editing technical documents.

Formal translation experience.

Experience related to aviation security.

Experience using Adobe Acrobat and InDesign software.
Specific work requirements:

Language Profile: BBBB;

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance; and

Be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident.
